About
Signet magazine is a proud staple of student excellence at Queens University of Charlotte. The magazine is a collaborative project that prints students' works in genres ranging from fiction and poetry to nonfiction, critical writing, and art. With the publication of the 2020-2021 edition, Signet started accepting music as a way to broaden the magazine's horizons and push for more inclusion amongst the student body.
Queens University of Charlotte boasts a long history of publishing literary magazines, going as far back as the late 1910's with the publication of The Princess until after 1919 when it changed between The Sceptrel and The Queens's Blues. During the 1940s to the late 1950s, the magazine underwent several name changes including the The Queens Quill, The Quill, The Blue Quill, back to the The Quill until the early 1960s when it changed to Logos. The current incarnation of the magazine was first started in 1964 and was christened with the name Signet.
Today the magazine is ever expanding with a online presence and a diverse repertoire of works. All Queens students are welcome to submit to have their story told and voice heard.
