About
Signet is dedicated to exemplifying a literary & arts magazine that showcases, represents, and promotes the diversity and vitality of human arts, literature, and creativity at Queens University of Charlotte.
Our annual print magazine publishes the creative works of Queens undergraduate students. We feature works in a variety of genres, including fiction, poetry, nonfiction, critical writing, art, music, and multimedia.
As a student-run project, Signet is curated and produced by students in ENG 319, the literary editing and publishing lab, in collaboration with students in GDN 215, the editorial design class.
History of Signet
Queens University of Charlotte showcases a long and esteemed history of publishing literary magazines, dating back to the late 1910s. Before rebranding to Signet in 1964, the magazine underwent several name changes.
Interact with the points in the timeline to explore the evolution of Queens' proud staple of student excellence and art.
Today the magazine is ever expanding with an online presence and a diverse repertoire of works. All Queens students are welcome to submit to have their story told and voice heard.
